The Oconee County Friends of the Library sponsors a used book sale the second Thursday of each month. The sale is open to everyone and is held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the lower level of the Walhalla Library, 501 W. South Broad Street, Walhalla, SC. Friends also sponsors occasional Saturday sales which are announced in the local papers and in the organization’s newsletter, Friends to Friends.

Our extensive collection is comprised of items donated by the public and/or culled from the libraries’ shelves. These items are quite inexpensive with prices ranging from $0.25 to $5.00. Special books, such as coffee table or collectible books, may be priced higher. FOL welcomes the donation of any of the following items from the public which, subsequently, are available at the book sales.

soft cover books
hard cover books
jigsaw puzzles
reference books
encyclopedias
video tapes
magazines
audio books
DVD's
CD's
records

Money raised from the book sales is used to supplement the Library System’s purchase of new books and reading materials, help fund the Children’s Reading Program and to provide additional library support.
